Web pages are best described as rooms that makes up a building using our existing analogy for website. They are html documents which serve as online or web resources accessible through web browser and html editors. The collection of these various html documents constitute a website; better still, they are bits that forms the main structure called website.

Web pages are connected together on a website through links. This links are analogy of doors of different rooms in a building. You go in and out of a room through the door and in and out of another room the same way; and so also with links on a website. For example, there are various links on the home page of this website such as About, Resources, Blog, Face Book, YouTube, and so on. Whenever you click on any of these, it displays the web page on this website. Also, there are links on a website which direct you to another website. When you click on the link: YouTube on this web page, it takes you directly to our channel on YouTube website. Thus, you may come across same page link on some websites which means that the link will take you to another portion of that same web page rather than the website.

Every web page has and extension, and the common extension are html, PHP, HTM etc. The extension shows if it’s a static web page, dynamic web page or what not. The content of static web pages are manually edited and updated individually through html editors while the change in the content of a dynamic web page result to automatic change of other associated web pages at once because they are more of database programming system. Besides html, CSS and JSS coding, contemporary trend in web design and development requires skills in PHP, Ajax, java and python programming.
